What function is the UPnP?

The UPnP is an acronym standing for “Universal Plug and Play.”
”Universal Plug and Play” is a function to make devices on a network easy to connect with each other, which is defined by the Universal Plug and Play Forum.
This function plays the following roles:
- Detection of devices on a network by UPnP.
- Support of a request for port mapping issued by a device inside the LAN.
- Notification of an IP address on the WAN side to a device inside the LAN.
