How to Use Active Directory

Follow the procedure below to set an access restriction to share folders of the TeraStation, using User and Group of the Active Directory

 

Invalid Characters for Password

 

  1. In Settings, navigate to [Network] - [Workgroup/Domain], then click [Edit] under "Workgroup Settings".
  2. Select "Active Directory", then click [Next].
  3. Click [Yes].
  4. Enter the desired settings, then click [OK].
  5. Click [Folder Setup], then click a shared folder that you want to set access restrictions for.
  6. Click [Edit] under "Shared Folder Settings".
  7. Enable "Access Restrictions".
  8. Select either [Domain User] or [Domain Group], then click [Add].
  9. Click the user or group who is supposed to get the access permission, then click [Add].
  10. Select the level of access for the user or group.
  11. Click [OK].
