How do I configure the IP address settings on the Windows computer?

The 2 case to configure the network setting are described in the Answer.


In case of getting the IP addresses on the computer from DHCP server
  1. For Windows 7, navigate to [Start]-[Control Panel]-[Network and Internet].
    For Windows Vista or Windows XP, navigate to [Start]-[Settings]-[Control Panel].
  2. Double-click [Network and Sharing Center (Network)].

    For Windows 7, click [Change Adapter Settings]. For Windows Vista, click [Manage network connections] on the left side menu.
  3. Double-click [Local Area Connection], then click [Properties].
    If the message "Windows needs your permission to continue" appears, click [Continue].
  4. Select [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] or [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)], then click [Properties].

  5. Select [Obtain an IP address automatically] and [Obtain DNS server address automatically], then click [OK].

  6. Click [OK] to close and apply the change.

In case of specifying the IP addresses on the computer manually
  1. For Windows 7, navigate to [Start]-[Control Panel]-[Network and Internet].

    For Windows Vista or Windows XP, navigate to [Start]-[Settings]-[Control Panel].

  2. Double-click [Network and Sharing Center (Network)].

    For Windows 7, click [Change Adapter Settings]. For Windows Vista, click [Manage network connections] on the left side menu.

  3. Double-click [Local Area Connection], then click [Properties].
    If the message "Windows needs your permission to continue" appears, click [Continue].

  4. Click [Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)] or [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)], then click [Properties].

  5. Click [Use the following IP address] to specify an IP address, then enter the IP addresses in each boxes; IP address, Subnet mask, and default gateway.

    Click [Use the following DNS server addresses] to specify DNS server address, then enter the IP addresses in each boxes; in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server.

  6. Click [OK] to close and apply the changes.

Note:
Example of IP address settings on your computer using our router.
IP address settings depends on your router IP address in your network environment.
(default IP address of our router has been set in 192.168.11.1.)

IP address 192.168.11.xxx ( you can specify the IP address as you like)
Do not set the same IP address with other devices.
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.11.1
Preferred DNS server 192.168.11.1
